Dan had to get some immunizations for school and have records sent out. That done we had 7,5hrs to get 22.8 miles in.
We got a shuttle ride out to 22.8 miles North of where we go off the trail so we could hike South back to the hostel. One of Dan's immunization tests required him to come back to have it looked at so he had to return to the clinic tomorrow.
Dan got ahead of me as usual. Turns out he can consistently do 3miles per hour. I can only do 2.2m since the uphills slow me down considerably. I figured since I've already lost 30lbs and was carrying a small pack of maybe 10lbs, that I would take the lead by running for 3 hours straight and wait for Dan to catch up. The plan worked and after 3 Hours I only had to wait 10 minutes for Dan the hiker to catch up to me, the runner. The last hour I used a combination of run and hike to keep up with him and we got off the trail just before nightfall.
