No Business Shelter.
We got up and out at 7:30 and hiked till 4:30pm. We climbed Mt Bald at 5,512' in the ice clouds. spiked ice needles emanating on everything standing. I've never seen that before. If those crystals were made of glass they would shred anything they touched.
With Chris from Texas and a 28 year old from Montreal whom quit his job to do this along with an over 50yearold man from Saratoga Springs NY whom did the same.
Was a frozen ground day. Tough on the feet. I'm going to have to send my Soloman gortex 4 boots home...they served their purpose getting me through the cold and snow and rain. Will get more flexible trail shoes to cut back on blisters.
