TriCorners Knob Shelter Tennessee
5 degrees at 6am. Fresh covering of snow. Finally getting for trees. The mountains are taller and thinner. We move mainly on the ridge line. We have a new companion, Chris a 22yearold man from Austin Tx.
He follows Dan uphills while I catch up on the down hills. It works. I don't slow Dan and we get are 20m in.
I had to get warm when we got to the shelter and wasn't able to help with dinner.
I'm damn lucky to have him as my hiking partner as well as my son.
I only snuck one picture today of the mountains. Absolutely beautiful! The Tennessee part of the smokies is beautiful!
Oh and Dan video taped a flock of turkeys on a ridge line yesterday back in NC.
