13.2.86 AT1690.2. 23m hike

Governor Clement Shelter

Dan, Billy Goat and I hiked out at 6:30am.
I was able to keep up with them for the first two hours then caught back up to them at mile 16 where they had been eating lunch for 25 minutes and Billy Goat was catching a ride to a hostel.

The walk was great. Pine forests, mountain streams, a big owl and a nice rock climb.

Tomorrow we climb Killington mountain and resupply in town. We'll hit Hanover New Hampshire on Friday. We will stay at our first hotel since I can't remember. Dan will try and get a required series of shots that are remaining requirements for his medical school.

We are down to 500 miles to go...less than 5 weeks.

44 percent of the work is in New Hampshire and Maine. We are ready and will give it our all.
