Wow. My Cousin Mike Hirsch picked us up where Rt. 309 intersects The AT at 5pm yesterday. Then it was laundry, shower, pick up dinner at Boston Market, resupply at the Giant grocery store, play with Zoe an exuberant lab mix and Bear a bishon poodle mix. Then Dan went off to the computer room to print out college forms that are due soon. I don't know how the Hirsch family coordinated all this but they did a fantastic job. And in the morning a freshly baked breakfast cheese bread was ready with coffee and fresh strawberries. This all in the middle of their busy work week. I love them all including all their furry little friends! Thanks so Much!
It was tough leaving such great people and getting back on the trail. We went slower today but with great memories of yesterday. We will be out of Pennsylvania and New Jersey and into New York in 6 days when we get our next resupply.
